- It has been a year since Sunrise House, a youth emergency shelter in Grande Prairie, moved into a larger facility, greatly enhancing their capacity to offer services. The new building features a quiet room, a cultural and prayer room, a hub space, and a music room, which have been well received by the youth. Partnering with Northreach Society has allowed them to provide clinic days with nursing support. With rising intake numbers due to mental health issues and poverty, Sunrise House is optimistic that the new facility and expanded services will continue to impact efforts to combat youth homelessness.
