The project received support from Veterans Affairs Canada, along with sponsorship from local Royal Canadian Legion branches. A ceremony marking the unveiling featured speeches from Brigadier-General Vanessa Hanrahan, local historian Duff Crerar, and other veterans. The event also included a symposium where stories from World War I nurses were shared, highlighting their resilience and challenges. Future plans for the site include an Animals of War garden and a Soldiers of Suicide dedication in August.
